Riding the stimulation wave at a concert

There’s something about concerts with large crowds that’s both overwhelming and understimulating to me. I think the understimulating part is reserved for concerts where my movement is limited.

I went to see Beck with the Boston Pops at Tanglewood tonight. I was committed to having a pleasurable experience. The very first thing I did was take off my shoes and put my bare feet on the ground. It felt good to be connected to the earth while being surrounded by people.

I love Beck’s vibe but don’t know a ton of his music beyond the couple of albums I listened to in high school & college. To keep myself engaged I picked up some natural elements for a little sensory play. It was both soothing and stimulating. It kept me present and it deepened my experiencing of the music. Bringing pleasure to higher levels in everything I do.
